I bought this new as a 243 and sent it to JES (http://35caliber.com/) for rebore to 338 Federal. Just under 6lbs with a Leupold 2.5x8. Barrel is not threaded. Scope NOT included. Around 100 rounds and shoots great. I didn't do too much load development but averaged 1.5in with RL15 and W-W 225gr PP. Most groups were first two shots around .75 and the third opening to 1.5. Includes Talley LW rings, RCBS dies and 55 pieces of Federal brass (338 Fed headstamp). No trades. Asking $1100 shipped from non-FFL with ID. Check, money order, PAYPAL F&F or you cover the fees.

I'm fairly new here but have lots of feedback on Gunbroker, EBAY, and 24hourcampfire. I will answer any and all questions and can provide additional photos if requested. Thanks.

Anybody that buys this and needs ammo, let me know. I have some factory ammo and reloading components.

I did the same thing to a 7mm-08 Montana. It was a shooter and really light. Ended up selling it in an effort to thin out the safe and wanted to be able to use a .30 can on all my rifles.

I know I’ll regret passing it on.

Another JES Fan,
They re-bored my pre-64 Mode 70 classic in 30-06 to 338-06. Turn around was brief + quality work. I'm getting 1" groups at 100yards using Nosler Custom ammo. The 200 gr. Accubonds are loaded to a claimed speed of 2800 fps. Recoil is not much different than a 180 grain 30-06. Imagine 35Whelen performance with a better BC bullet. Only animal I shot with this was a cow elk. Result of a 100 yard broadside hit was DRT.
