i have been researching this with little to no luck, before reaching out to a gunsmith was hoping that their might be a easy buttom for a diy conversion at home.

looking to turn a 2014 kimber mnt ascent 280ai into a slightly different beast. the rifle has sentimental attachment and not willing to part ways with it but would very much like to change some features.

is there a company(s) offering new stock on and floor plate options? last time i went down this rabbit hole it was only a custom stock option and pretty much sending to a gunsmith to have a stock/floor plate added. didnt know if anywhere was offering factory drop ins these days?

You might be better off buying the new mountain ascent rifle, they come with a different stock than previous models and they have a hinged floor plate.

I could be wrong but I have not heard of an aftermarket stock with a floor plate, maybe a rokstok lite when they make them but I bet in the end it’s cheaper to buy the new rifle, switch stocks out if you want.

I have the same gun, and want to keep my wood stock from getting dings. H-S Precision has the stock they sell to Kimber on their website. I've contacted them, but need to confirm the stock will fit the circa 2014 barreled action, trigger guard and floorplate before I place my order. $499, if you don't go wild on the paint job.
