Just finished this project and it’s time for the next one. Bought this rifle new and as seen in the pictures it had some marks on the stock from the shop it sat in for some time. I had the barrel cut to 16.25” and threaded 1/2-28. Comes with 1/2-28 to 5/8-24 thread adapter. Rifle was completely disassembled and Cerakotes in Tungsten and the stock was sprayed with a dark FDE.
Group shown on steel is 5 rounds at 300 yards. With the Hornady 123 SST @ 2700. Same load stays 0.75 MOA out to 400 which is as far as I’ve shot it. I only ever shot the rifle with the fixed 4x Leupold that is on the rifle in the photos, so it may shoot better with a better optic.
Rifle weighs 4lbs 10oz bare, 5lbs 6oz as pictured.
Die set pictured includes Redding FL body die, Lee collet die, Lee factory crimp die and Forester Ultra Micrometer seater.
