I'm in Sportsmans warehouse and see there a few lines of new companies that carry clothes in highlander patterns. Ones a lot of cotton so I won't mention it. The other is called Killik. Don't know anything about it so I can't speak on performance but I see a soft shell pant for $160, soft shell vest for $100, poly/ rayon from bamboo base layer t shirt and long sleeve shirt for $35 and $40. Possibly a way for guys looking for some cheaper stuff to start out with. If anyone has any experience with it let me know.

I searched the SW warehouse for "Killik", and evidently they've got a complete set up, including Highlander gaiters for those looking to complete their wardrobe.

I first noticed their stuff close to a month ago. At the time they only had the basic shirts and pants and nothing on the Sportsman's website. Now it's all up on the website and a few more items are trickling in. I really want a look at the higher end pants and their jackets but the Sportsman's in Riverdale doesn't have them yet. What store did you see all that at? The company website isn't up yet either, but they have one video on YouTube. I'm gonna give some of their pieces a shot, I'm especially stoked to finally find Kryptek gaiters!

I got a highlander beanie isn SW today to replace the mountain hard wear beanie my son lost. Looks like their website will go live tomorrow.

Twin Falls store had them yesterday, for $20 more than the sitka ascent pants... they are NO deal. They are soft and quiet but didnt' have the refinded, tailered look and fit of sitka or kuiu.

The Nexus line seems to be the rough equivalent of the Kryptek Dalibor stuff. Axiom is their rain gear, it isn't the light packable type. The Sportsman's here in Riverdale just got a bunch more in. There is a fairly noticeable difference between this and the Kryptek stuff but it saves some $$...

It is SW own instore brand. They have two softshells that are ok. I would rate it below underarmor. It is not Kryptek. SW is dropping Kryptek and selling Killik.
Or trying to sell Killik it is not moving like Kryptek moves. Sitka with the absence of Kryptek's new line is selling more. SW is selling Kryptek duck tape, Slumberjack frame packs that are in highlander and actually pretty good. Korean made with real welds. But Killik is not even Core4 quality.

JMHO but its not Kryptek, just the pattern.

Sincerely,
Thomas

Just saw it in Grand Junction, CO store yesterday. Looks of decent if not very good quality but without the subtle design features of Kryptek itself. I didn't try any on, so cant comment on fit. As others have mentioned, the pricing is very similar to Kryptek- example: faux Valhalla pants were still $99.

I was disappointed in the gaiters when I got to hold them I don't think that material will hold up at all in the long run. I got a pair of the thin gloves thinking the black circle with red K was a sticker... it isn't and I ripped a seam in them the first time I pulled them off. I liked the way the pant legs could be rolled up and buttoned but the pair I was lookning at part of that strap was pulling out. Not impressed.

I have the nexus vest and love it, quiet and durable. Also bought the vital gloves which have been great sans the gay logo sticker ripping off.

Bought the gaiters and promptly broke the buckle in two hours on moderate terrain. The owner of the Killik is supposed to be in soon, I plan on talking with him on some design flaws.

They have the full line at the Hillsboro, OR store. I'm just not sure about it. Probably similar in quality to the UA gear, but a step below Sitka, KUIU, FirstLite, etc. Seems kind of expensive for what it is.
