Kifrau stryker xl vs duplex straight jacket for a day pack?

I have a kifaru 44 mag and I'm looking for more of a day pack style bag. Any suggestions on which would make a better day pack?

I have the straight jacket and i like it. My only complaint is the sides pockets are not very big. The problem arises when weather comes in and I want to keep certain layers dry. I get limited on room. It's made me consider getting the Stryker XL.

I have Sherman pouch and another pouch I can put stuff in, but it's not optimal for what I want to do with it.

Yeah that was kinda my concern. Those side pouches don't seem like they're too wide.
