There is no 'elevated' common loops on the new frames. There is a pair of common loops together on the bottom of the frame. Move your straps in pic 2 to the bottom loop. The top common loops will then be accessible for the meat shelf. Hope that makes sense! Check Woodsman/ Reckoning and newest style frame videos from Kifaru site for clearer detail. Also. somewhere on the forum, guys have modified frames adding common loops in the higher 'elevated' position if desired.
Any tips on supporting the upper portion of the bag when using the meat shelf? I’m trying to figure out what the best approach is since you have to remove the stays from the sleeve.
Watched the videos but it’s hard to see how that load would carry under real weight.
In load shelf mode the top does not stay hooked on top of the frame - the upper horizontal straps help keep the bag secure. So the meat goes on the frame and is sandwiched by the bag using the three horizontal compression straps - no way you could have a bone in quarter and still attach the top.
