THIS^^^ is why I bought a Minikeg off the classifieds and have full confidence I will be able to get a hold of TandK to have it repaired. He has made a few posts in this thread and/or on the site about willing to repair items made by other manufacturers. This is why I will also be a customer when I need to upgrade some of my other gear.All this needs is a new slider. It doesn't appear to be a zipper coil failure. With this you would simply turn the pack inside out, seam rip where the coil ends, throw a new one on, and sew it back up. 10-15 minute job max.
One of my staff members could get that done for you if you need it done. As long as you take care of shipping....I would do it for free. It's no big deal. Just shoot me a text.

For whatever it’s worth, I’ve bought darn tough socks lots of times at smaller sporting goods stores near me and when I need to return a pair I simply walk in there with them, they hand me a new pair and I walk back out. I’ve never mailed a pair back. That said, they last so long it’s worth it anyway.I’m probably the odd man out here, but I wish the whole “lifetime” warranty would go away altogether.
Those things aren’t free and you pay the piper somewhere. Either higher and higher prices or subpar equipment.
Drives me crazy that fly rods are now north of 1k and in some cases, far north.
Then you get companies like Vortex that will cover you and everyone else forever. The trade off is unreliable and subpar optics. But at least it can be replaced forever, which it will be.
Lifetime should mean the reasonable lifetime of the product after a period to confirm there’s no manufacturer defect.
Hell, you can get Darn Tough socks (socks!!) replaced for life. They are great socks. But I can buy just as good for half the price. And I can’t imagine actually sending a pair of socks in that I’ve worn out.
I also can’t imagine sending a pack I’ve beat the crap out of for years and expecting that it is a free ride to be repaired. If it’s lived it’s expected life and done well, I’d be happy to get 25% off a replacement.
I should also clarify, I don’t expect for TandK to do it for free, I expect to pay for said repair like I would if I took it to a local shop to have it repaired. I could not personally buy a product counting on the charity of someone else to take care of me if it fails.
