I bought this Kifaru Sawtooth Shelter along with the Smith Cylinder Stove and 9 MSR Groundhog stakes from Kifaru back in 2023 while passing through Riverton. Figured I would work it into my backcountry hunting system. I have set up my friend's Sawtooth many times and seen it take on some serious rain, wind, snow without any trouble. It's been impressive and that's why I kept this shelter for so long, thinking it would be part of my kit. Truth is I haven't really made the pivot just yet since most of my hunting is done solo and this tent would be better for 2 people
SAWTOOTH SHELTER: I set up the shelter in my backyard to install the guy-lines, and other than that it's never been out of the package. The center pole and back single pole are brand new. Comes with the silicon Kifaru included that is used for seam sealing the tent. (see it in the photo below)
SMITH CYLINDER STOVE: This stove is brand new, never even been assembled. It's no longer built by Kifaru as they have moved to a box stove. Comes with all the needed parts, including the stovepipe and the stove bag.
MSR GROUNDHOG STAKES: All 9 stakes are brand new, never even been in the dirt (the ideal number needed to set up the Sawtooth is 8-10, with a max of 18.
The Kifaru Sawtooth shelter retails for $930. The Smith Cylinder Stove is no longer available but I found a brand new one on eBay for $350. MSR stakes are $4.99 each on the Kifaru website.
