Kifaru - Ranger Green or Ranger Blue?

I do notice that my ranger green stuff doesn't look near as a green as the website, but it does all match.

I noticed this as well with some belt pouches and asked Kifaru. They said their fabric vendor had some color calibration issues and this different hue is the result of that.

I asked them if they will get the original Ranger Green (the earthy green OP mentioned) back and they said yes, but not until they use up the current batch of fabric. They said there’s quite a lot of the current batch left so they couldnt say when.

I’m so OCD about matching Ranger Green that I am gonna wait especially since I don’t have a pressing need for the pouches.

I am about to buy myself a frame and have googled Kifaru Ranger Green and I see packs that look greenish brown color to a blueish gray color. I just figured it was the camera/lighting that the person took the picture in. I have a calibrated monitor that I calibrate once a month so my image should be pretty consistent. Guess I might go with tan.

You would think that for the price they are charging for everything they would be more consistent withe the color. If they got material that the color was off they would make the supplier correct that. Im glad I have already bought mine. I would not be happy with that response.

Yeah sucks cuz the blue clashes with the new laces I put on my boots.

You order ranger green with the expectation that it looks like what you ordered on the website. Not ranger blue. Not olive drab.

Foliage green went through the same thing with Kifaru before. Some of it was so light it looked like white. Others it was very dark. At the end of the situation, Foliage green was discontinued from Kifaru.

Just received my new frame, bags and accessories this week. Has anyone else noticed a significant color difference between bag and pouches/accessories? My nomad II is a nice green color and my pouches and grab it are almost blue. They blend together but the dye and color lot is very different. Not really an issue, just wondering if anyone else had this happen?

Any chance we can get some pics ??

Man thats kind of a bummer to hear. I ordered a frame and Reckoning in ranger green about 3 weeks ago. At the end of the day it probably wont be a big deal but I was looking forward to the ranger green. Hopefully someone can get some pics up to see the difference.

Ordered a cargo panel, lid, duplex belt and shoulder straps in RG. I put the order in on July 28th and just today got my shipping notice...

Needless to say I’m a little bummed out to just be finding this out now. Would of been nice if Kifaru, having been made aware of the issue, would have given folks a heads up

My main reason color is a factor is that it will be attached to the bottom of my treestand and be hanging down when hunting. It will be the closest thing to the ground. I have always heard (might be false) that deer can see the color blue better than other colors. I see some labeled ranger green that is close to my summit color, and others that are not really close.

Would be nice it you got it before getting all bummed out and making it a big deal. Believe me, it might be a huge deal. But, get it and see for yourself before ruining it in your mind. I'm betting it is green. The color didn't say say ranger blue.

Not sure if your responding to my post... my point isn’t about the color, but the fact that is was a known issue.

Option 1: Send back, delaying production of packs right before hunting season, listen to dozens of people complain online
Option 2: Keep fabric, send out packs with inconsequential issue, listen to dozens of people complain online.

Like I said in my post, its probably not going to be that big of a deal. In the end I'm running the pack either way cause I hear nothing but great things about the pack. I'm more curious to see how much of a difference it will be.
