I just finished this little project. I picked up the main body of this omni yoke thinking that I could turn it into a pack frame for my son and, while it would work, it wouldn't be ideal. Like I said, the yoke did not come with shoulder straps or the hipbelt. I could have just ordered a different color from kifaru but I like my stuff to match and I have the capability to make packs and such so I thought I would source the material and make it myself. I used the same materials that kifaru used i.e. 1000D Cordura, nylon webbing and grosgrain with EVA closed cell foam.

It's a super rare color combo, probably a test of some sort since they never offered this color for sale. It's in fantastic condition. The hipbelt is the same size and shape as a medium omni belt. I could make a different size of course, it would just take some time. The stays are 2024 series 1/2" x 3/16" x 17".

I'm pretty happy with the result. I don't have any use for it though, so if anyone is interested I'm willing to sell.

$300 tyd let me know if you have any questions.

I made a compression panel/pocket for the omni yoke that I posted a little while ago. It uses aluminum G-hooks to connect to the molle webbing. It measure 16 x 8 x 3, has one zippered pocket on the interior as well as three divided slots. There are two webbing daisy chains on the front and the opening folds completely flat. Made with 1000D cordura, 10 ykk zipper with dual zipper pulls on the main compartment, 17337 milspec webbing, and #69 bonded nylon thread.

Same price as before. $300 tyd lower 48 for the Omni yoke with compression pocket.

I added some siamese clips to the webbing loops, which compress the panel really flat when the compression straps are run through them, creating a pulley type compression. I also added some over-the-top straps that can be used when something is in between the bag and frame. They can also double as horizontal compression straps when run through the webbing daisy chains on the front of the pack.
