We hunt high elevation Colorado October/November.

Was looking at trying out the half zip parka and pants. For those that own the parka, I am interested in hearing how you wear it and what layers are used.

I’ve been using the LPP for the better part of 10 years now. I have a few of them. I’m not really sure what you are asking but I’ve used it in every combo I can think of, over light/mid weight base layers, under my kuiu twin jacket, I even snow machine in it with a few layers underneath.

I have the pants too but I’ve never actually used them except one time when I was sitting in camp and I didn’t really actually need them.

Like any scenario, I generally wear appropriate layers for walking in and in between spots then throw on the LPP when I stop to glass. Same deal as above though, I’ve worn it with about every layering system I have depending on conditions, and have worn it under rain gear, sitting on a glassing knob on a cold blowy evening or showers and breezy

I really like the LPP, especially where I live/hunt, it’s the most appropriate puffy I’ve found, and I like how your pack waist belt goes through the roo pocket, it’s a well designed jacket for my needs.

When they are new, they are freaking awesome, but still a great jacket after lots of use. At some point I will buy another, because I don’t know of a comparable jacket, I have several puffy jackets both synthetic and down, but if I could only have one, it would be the LPP. Super comfortable too, it’s like climbing into a sleeping bag
