Kifaru Late Season "improved"

I wanted to post a few pics of my "new and improved" Kifaru Late Season. Love the 3400ci size and carry capacity ability (loads to 75#) but always felt I'd like to have a few more options for access and additional ci's when needed.

I had pals matrix tabs added to the upper sides and lower front below the zipper line. A pair of pals tabs were added to the front lid pocket and vertical zippers were added to the sides.

This gives me the option to run belt pouches on the upper and lower sides and lower front. It also gives me the option to run Spotting Scope pockets on all 3 sides. Side access should be super handy when the bag is stuffed full and I just need to retrieve a small pullout without undoing the entire load.

Really excited to try my "new and improved" Late Season this Summer and Fall.

nice. i never thought of running a guide lid on an internal frame pack but that's not a bad idea.

Did you put the side zips on yourself?

After seeing this, I may have to add a modified late season to my pack inventory.

EZ, wasn't my idea to put the guide on top. A buddy at work asked why I didn't run it up there and I didn't have a good answer for him. 2 short pieces of cord later....

I had the pals put on and zippers put in. Not even close to being that talented.

Waiting patiently for the SS pockets to arrive. Will post pics of that when they arrive. Super stoked about the new access and exterior pocket options.

Cool mods, great idea. What did the zippers cost to get installed?
