I but the bullet and ordered a new guide lid. I want to compare it to my long hunter lid in person. Time will tell if I keep both.

Does anyone have both already? Would be curious to see which one you prefer and why?

I will post my thoughts once I receive it.

I had both. Sold my Long Hunter withing a few days of using the guide. Zipper placement on the guide over the LH was what did it for me. When everything was cinched down, I could still access stuff in the guide. The LH created a "lip" with the top of the duplex frame when cinched. If that makes sense?

Not helping the sale of my long hunter lid at all there Brock ;)

Yeah I didn't mind the long hunter lid but I am really digging the double backpack straps of the guide plus the different opening.

My bad! In all honesty, the LH is still a great lid and if the price is right I wouldn't hesitate to run one.

Nice damage control ;)

But I agree the long hunter is great, guide lid seems better though but we shall see after I get a trip or two using it in the field.

You guys crack me up sometimes. Looks like the target market for your surplus LH is shrinking dreamingbig.

I never said I would sell mine. :). I said time will tell. I currently have a high camp 7k that is lidless. It will get the lesser of the two.

I have both and the LH lid will stay on my BT3. You can stuff a lot of shit in either lid.
