Hey all

I have a G2 Nav 4kcc pack. It’s a great pack but I have a couple of issues I’d like to know if I can solve.

1. The power pull on the belt kind of sucks. I pull, it tightens and then loosens. It’s like the webbing bunches on itself and doesn’t pull through the buckle. It’s not the end of the world but annoying.

2. The compression straps also slip a bit. Seems I get them tight and then the material slips a bit.

That’s it for the sniffles...

This year I’m going on an elk and deer hunt. It’ll be guided but future ones won’t be. I have the cargo chair that kifaru used to sell and I’m thinking that I can haul meat in the body of the pack and have my kit in a stuff or dry sack on the chair hooked up to the pack. Does this make sense? Any other ideas?

For 7day hunts and hikes I’m thinking of adding externals. Would I be able to add a lid or would a Sherman be better for this pack?

Thanks all

I'd call Kifaru on the first two issues. My belt doesn't loosen at all by itself, and compression straps with locking buckles shouldn't slip. If they are worn out those are two cheaper pieces you can replace if you like the bag.

You could add whatever you wanted to get the capacity up, that's the beauty of Kifaru to me, the customization. I might be leary of that pack size for a 7+ day hunt though. I did a mock pack with my reckoning for a 6 day hunt yesterday and it was closer to full than I thought it'd be, don't think I'll be running a lid but I will have a large pocket on the snow collar at minimum, and a Sherman.

Thank you mate. I agree, the Nav is short for the long haul, just trying to see if I could expand on the platform. The Nav is a great pack and has served me well.

Maybe there’s a Hoodlum in my future or a Fulcrum...
