I have an 18 in torso so the website says I could go either short or long shoulder straps and I went with the longer set. How does this look? First time with a Kifaru.

Shoulder strap length looks good to me. Frame looks like it fits the contour of your back profile nicely too.

How did it feel?

The connection for the load lifters to the shoulder straps should be at your collar bone. Sometimes it will need to be adjusted slightly more from there.

Watch some of sniders YouTube videos on pack fitment. They are helpful.

And I think the chest strap auld be lower. The purpose is to keep the straps out of your arm pit.

Your left shoulder strap looks shorter than right and load lifter looks correspondingly behind your collar bone. Length looks good.

I orginally went long with bikini frame and those didn’t have much adjustment and weee long in me. So much so that with weight not able to cinch them up.

I too have found chest strap is better for me up higher otherwise the straps slid outward into my shoulder limiting movement. But you can play around with it.
