Is a Doobie warm enough for a hot sleeper in temps 45-70F? I have a 4.5 R-Value sleeping pad that will be used in conjunction with it. I am trying to keep a streamlined sleep system for use on my dual sport and thought that this might be a good alternative in regards to space. How small can you compact the Doobie in a compression sack?

I would think the temperatures you listed the Doobie will do fine. I use mine in archery elk season and haven’t had any complaints. As far as size after compression; I’d say think about a Nalgene bottle but about 3” longer, about the best comparison I can come up with

Doobie is much larger than a nalgene. It fits tightly in Kifaru’s medium 5 string - pretty bulky. If you really worked at it you could make it as small as a beer growler. It makes up for this bulk in warmth. I use a Borah Gear Bivy to kinda keep it in place and with an okay pad I’ve slept down in to the 20s with it. It’s warm and extremely lofty, but not compressible compared to down or cheaper synthetic products.
