I did some searching around on here and other forums and couldn't find anything on this. Has anyone used the Kifaru cargo panel on a Mystery Ranch NICE frame and possibly have some pictures of their setup? Or is there an aftermarket outfit that makes a similar load sling for the NICE frame? MR is telling me to check back in 3 months and they may be able to sell me a sling then.

OR....does anybody have a MR load sling for sale?

My Nice frame doesn't have any plastic or webbing common loops on the frame that Kifaru uses to attach the bottom of the load sling with the 3-bar sliders. Instead MR uses all SR buckles for frame attachments. Luckily, the SR buckles from MR work with the SR buckles from Kifaru, so you could easily make it work. All you would need are 2 extra sets of SR buckles from Kifaru to attach the bottom. You would push the 3-bar slider at the bottom of the cargo panel through slotted male buckles and then thread the female side onto the bottom (2) straps of the MR frame. My Nice frame came with males threaded onto the bottom straps and females sewn to the frame at the midway point. By replacing the bottom threaded males with females, you will be able to move the cargo panel between the bottom and middle frame attachment points. The width may not match up perfectly, but that won't matter too much. Then you can use the rest of the strap/buckles that come with the load sling to attach the sides and top. Should work pretty darn good.

Exo's beaver tail will work too, but it doesn't come with any compression straps. Exo uses the compression straps sewn to their frame. So, you'll need to buy at least 2 sets of compression straps or more depending on how many courses of compression straps you need. You'll also need 4 sets of SR buckles (2 sets for the top attachment and 2 sets for the bottom attachment) to make it work. All of those can be ordered from Kifaru. However, with no load or a small load, you won't be able to compress the panel down because there are no pals to move the compression straps inboard. There are workarounds for this as well if you adopt the HPG compression system or have pals sewn on.

Either version of the grab-it will work if you have 2 sets of SR buckles for the bottom attachments. The other 2 should plug right in.

No problem TheTone, I was curious about the grab it as well.

And thanks Hoots! That is some really good info. I have a few extra MR compression straps with buckles lying around, so I think I can make this work... If I end up going that route I'll post up some pictures.

I will put my cargo panel on my NICE frame. I have put it on before but I have not used it yet. I will snap some pictures of it though when I do it.

Here are the pics! I need a couple more straps to do it how I would like. If you have the back of the frame facing you on the right is a female buckle and the left a male. So The way I did it was just attach a strap along side the male part on the left. I suppose if you wanted to use the cargo panel only you could cut the male part off but I am not going to do that as I am not sure if I like it and may just get a new duplex frame.

As you can see I attached it two different ways But I did not like the gap at th bottom when the CP was attached to the buckles on the NICE Frame so I used to straps and ran them under the bottom cross bar up to to female buckles and pulled it up tight. I need a couple more straps to do it the way I think I would like it but this is what I had. I have not used it like this at all and only a blanket and pillow arein there for the pictures. I will play with it some more.
