39 pounds BTW. Im wearing in a different set of clothes (kuiu pant, ss tshirt, lowa boots, socks, firstlite briefs, ball cap ) and carrying bow.

The key is not to get too skinny before the hunt.... you have to leave some extra spare tire to burn........that's what I'm going with yup..

I don't eat much when hunting. I actually stopped carrying a stove and just take other stuff. I bet I only eat 1000 cal. a day. However, I have not done that for a week, just 4 days. Just traded down my DT1 for a DT2. This makes me want to downsize to a DT3.

Looks good. I have a BT3 and love the versatility. I hardly ever go over 5 nights in a row and my fat ass doesn't eat much either. Are you deer or elk hunting? Whats your exit strategy with meat?

When I first looked at your picture I thought you were taken a ton of goods. Then I read the list and it's pretty solid. Are you able to carry your current list and an elk quarter out at the same time? I am just curious how folks plan to get the elk they worked for home once it's down.

Just carry it out and go back and get your camp. Not sure how many guys are actually able to carry a full load of meat and their entire camp in the mountains.

I'd be out of food in 4 days and still hungry with that list!

Notice no spotter or tripod on this hunt. I may still take them and switch to my DT2. I am still adding two medium pouches to the Dt3 bag. We make camp, get to day pack mode compressed and pack out the kill with last trip getting camp out with last load. This year could get busy as i have elk, muley, and bear tag. I could ditch the GPS, one pant, camp shoes, saw,.....but every year I'm glad I have them and thus setup is pretty light.

My clothes, puffy, sleeping bag are in kuiu sil dry bags also which aren't in the pics. Its critical to have a couple drybags . that eberlestock camo pack cover in the photo has been worth it's weight also many times.
