Its not uncommon and not a sizing issue. That is why Kifaru now puts two plastic power pull loops on their belts. You put it through both, then back through one. Just like a double d-loop belt. When you pull the belt tight it is completely locked in solid. The single d-loop power pull will tighten up. You just have to tug it a few times to get it to bite. The newer model is a huge improvement.
Any chance that anyone has pictures of the "defective" belt? Sure would make it easier for future people to identify the problem.

The best fix is to have the locking part at the power pull end and not on the buckle. Similar to the Osprey packs. Then there is no loss of tension. You pull 1" thru the belt is 1" smaller.
I have the same issue. Kuiu has the same system as Osprey... 100% better. Kifaru should copy it... Ed F
They are now sewing dual plastic power pull rings onto the belts. You put the webbing through both rings then weave it back through one. When you pull your belt tight it is not budging what so ever.
