Hey everyone,

First time post for me here. Glad to be here in the community. My question is if anyone has pictures of them wearing the 22 mag with the different frame heights or just the frames. I am a very short statured guy, 5'4 150-160 lbs, and I don't like when my head is hitting things while I'm looking up or putting my head back. I got rid of a badlands 2200 and got an X2 just for that reason basically. However, the X2 just seems hard to organize and the more I've been using it i have grown a bit tired of the drawstring on the top. Wanting to go very high quality if possible. I am doing field work right now that involves hiking 5-10 miles a day and i think upgrading as soon as possible can help. I'm between the 22" and 24" because I know that not many packs fit the 22" and I plan on not changing my hunting style but in the case I do the 24" may be a better option. Thanks for any info!

My wife is 5’4” (and a half) We were just at kifaru yesterday getting her set up. The 22” frame is all she needs. Her head does hit when looking up. A 24” would be overkill. I’ll be able to get you a picture in around 4 weeks :). A call to kifaru would most likely confirm for you what they worked out with us. At your height 22” is plenty.

Not sure if this picture will post. 5’ 4” height 24” frame. I don’t have much trouble contacting the back of my head on the frame, it will happen if I look up enough. The pack is not a 22 mag.

I know there are some 5 footer+ on here rocking 26 frames.

I am 5'6" and really like my 22mag on a 22" frame. Just seems to move better through the woods vs the woodsman on a 24" that I had. You loose some of the top end of the loading capacity for sure, but I think you gain a lot in freedom of movement.

I’m 5’9” and actually prefer the 22 over the 24 for any load less than 45 pounds. Definitely the 22 in frame for the 22mag, Woodsman, Eastern Ruck, or Tahr.

Go with the 22 inch frame. And, know that the bag is going to stick up as high as the frame does since it attaches over the top of the frame. At 5'4" tall, you likely won't be carrying the fabled 100 pound loads like many here claim they do. So, a 22 inch frame will give you all the lift you will need. Even if by chance you are the minority and actually do carry those loads. So, there is no reason to over frame yourself.
