Hunting, being 1 to 2 shots max in real world conditions.

I used to shoot 130gr 3fg older eynsford in my 58 cva hawken I owned some years back. That rifle was less than 8lbs.

You're saying you only shoot 1-2 shots of your hunting load per year and that is when you're hunting, or at game?.

I like the way they look. I'll probably wind up with a 50 cal sooner or later. I have an early TC Hawkin that I really like to hunt with. I'ts 8.5 lbs. and a pleasure to carry and shoot. 250gr R.E.A.L. bullets work well. I have a Kibler Colonial 58 cal that I'm still learning. May feel confident enough this season to carry it hunting.
