Anyone on here own both the Hardscrabbles and Mountain Extremes? I have the non-insulated and insulated versions of the Mountain Extreme line of boots and absolutely love them. The were break-in free and I have hundreds of miles on them.
I decided I wanted a little lighter setup and originally went with the new Slide Rocks. Those were a no go so I switched out for Hardscrabble, which is basically the lower version of the Mtn Extremes. First trip out I wore two fairly good size blisters in my heels in about 2 miles. I was fully blistered after about a mile. Boots were tight as hell, but I couldn't keep my heel from slipping inside the boot.
Anyone else have this experience? Rather than put more miles on those boots I am inclined to just sell them because they are pretty much brand new. Unless there is a trick maybe I am missing?
