Kenetrek vs schnees

GKPrice has a solid point with cabelas. they're return policy game is on point. I bought my Miendls from them. Like Jason said its all about the last. You got three basic types curved, semi-cur, and straight. curved fits high arch feet, semi fits regular arched to flat feet and straight fits flat feet. typically. If you look it up and get a gist of what to look for and you know your feet it makes a little easier. Either way go with a store that has a great return policy.

I understand it was an over-exaggeration guys... that is what sarcasm is based in. Do a search... the VAST majority of boot fit issues and heel blisters are from Kennetreks. I tied everything with mine, even asked one of the owners himself to help me out... still no go. I wanted them to work because i really liked them.

I know at LEAST 10-15 people PERSONALLY that have switched away from kennetreks because of heel issues.

Do a search... its not just being a fan boy. Count the threads.

as a self proclaimed over exaggerator..i'm embarrassed i didnt recognize it it. :) i've had boots, i've worn for years cause major blister on radically changed terrain..like miles upon miles of sidehilling. footwear is black magic voodoo at times.

I have never had a blister in either of my UI or 400g Kennetreks, but then again I've never gotten blisters in any boots I've owned. I do have to use an additional flat insole to take up a little space in the UI pair to keep my foot from sliding when downhilling however. But the next size down was too small. I will try on Lowas and other types when these need replaced, but after 3 seasons of abuse they are still going strong. I think some people are just more prone to getting blisters, my wife for example got heel and toe blisters in every boot she has ever owned.

Absolutely loved my schnees 9 in absarokas. I have a some what narrow foot and have yet to find a boot fit like that! Unfortunately after a season of fire and a season of guiding/hunting they've already been resoled and about worn out in less than a year. Can't say I'm surprised as I've had a ton of hard miles on them but I'm kind of disappointed as they are my favorite boot and they no longer make the high version of the AB's.

I've heard schnees run narrow... I've been looking at these since my tibets have a heel issue and I'm really just done trying to work or fix the issues. I now except that they don't fit my feet. I love my meindls but with 200g thinsulate and me mainly doing archery these are just to much boot for early season elk. :(
