I've had these boots for a few months now. Probably put 25 miles on them so far all on flat ground. Yesterday I finally took them out on some hills and there was some heel slip. I don't know if it will get better with time or maybe it won't bother me when I get to the mountains. I've read about some people having heel slip issues and different lacing styles. The boots seem good on flat ground but I'm wondering if they'll lock in better as they get more broke in?

I stopped thinking about the heel slip in mine right around what happened to be their claimed 50 mile break in. Rock solid now.

Give them some more time. If your going to hammer the steeper stuff tape your heals with duct tape before hikes. I have 2 pairs of kenetreks and have callouses on my heels that have developed over time. This is a good thing as my feet are tough in those spots. I am a firm believer that your feet need to toughen up. You cant wear sneakers and flip flops all summer and expect your feet to be able to handle hiking and sweating in stiff boots.
