Anyone know if someplace sells replacement straps for Kenetrek gaiters? The one that goes under your boot.

Reached out to Kenetrek and they won’t sell me a set.

Thats dumb they wont sell you or replace the straps....

With that said I dont see anywhere to source the actual strap. All it is is Hypalon rubber material which you can get off of amazon and retrofit your own straps pretty easily.

That’s what I said. I half expected them just to mail me a set but had zero problems with having to buy them.

Responded back and told them that it was “unfortunate they didn’t sell a simple part that is going to wear and require me to purchase an entire new set. Oh well, it makes future purchasing choices easier for me.”

I figured I could make something using a dog collar, which would probably be strong anyways or it might just be an excuse to buy a new set. TandK sells replacement parts…

Guess the person who answered his original question was uninformed. Nice to see KT will repair or replace them. Let us know how it turns out. I have two sets of their gaiters I really like.

I threw mine away. The gaiters work fine without the straps. The hook in front keeps mine in position so no strap is needed. Good that KT spoke up to fix your problem, and maybe fix their CS issue.

Figured I would update this. Kenetrek did replace my set of gaiters. Not sure if this is a standard practice for them or not.

The old version that I had, you could easily replace that bottom strap but the new model they sent me they are sewn in and would be difficult to replace.

Glad they took care of you with a new pair, that is solid service.
But that design change to the sewn-in strap is definitely a bummer. A buddy of mine actually ran into this exact issue with the newer model. He tore the strap on some sharp rocks, and because it was sewn in, he couldn't just swap it out in the field like you could with the old style. He ended up having to rig it with paracord until he got home. Making high-wear parts non-replaceable seems like a step backward to me.

Definitely a design flaw in my opinion and a lesson learned. If I have to buy another pair, I will pay attention to the ability to replace certain parts.

I had a strap blow on my kenetrek gaiters and they sent me a new pair no questions asked
