Has anyone looked at these in person or tried them? They seem like about the right amount of boot for me and I like that they have Event.

I don't think they would be a bad choice at all. Event breathes better than gore tex and Kenetrek makes good boots. I have no idea how stiff or what the fit is like.

Mine are on their way now, I'll post a review once I've used them. If they are anything like my mountain extremes I'm going to love them.

I'm hoping the heel is narrower than the mountain extremes and has a more defined pocket to hold the heel. I would also like them to be way less stiff and have a softer sole so you can sneak without losing your boots.

I'd like to hear some more about these also. I love my mountain exteremes, but they are a bit "clunky" for early season spot and stalk. At $200 the bridger could be an affordable warm weather option. Also have my eye on the Lowa Uplander, but have not had a chance to try them on.

Looking for a lightweight hunter and these caught my eye. Thus far I am a bit wary as I haven't found much feedback on them but did see this video review

Kenetrek Boots Review - Bridger Ridge - YouTube

Let me know if anyone else has had any good or bad results or has a recommendation on another light weight, water proof boot offering reasonable support for side-hilling. Sorry to revive an old thread.

bought the lows and the mids couple years ago off ebay when they had some good pricing on these. not a hiker by any means but the mids have held up well and very comfy. the lows have a different sole bonding system and both of them at the same time began to separate off the heel. had a partial tube of 3m marine sealant 2300? and glued them up good and have been fine ever since.

I will rarely say this, but these boots are garbage. I own three other pairs of Kenetreks, which I love, but the bridgers are simply overly-priced merrells. Mine leaked immediately and within a couple months were splitting at several seams. And this is from wearing around town on a daily basis, which is what I got them for. I would definitely not recommend these boots for even a moderately physical hunt or in rough, wet terrain.

Petty much what expected from someone who put them to the test. Hard to figure why a well respected boot company would even think of putting some garbage like these on the market. Remember when my first pair of danners arrived with a big made in china on the box. Was outraged but they were a decent boot that did not fall apart like my kenetreks did.

My thoughts exactly. I was very disappointed in them and had I not already had my other Kenetreks I would not have bought them based on my experience with the Bridgers.

Had horrible experience with the Bridger high. They didn't fit anything like the Mountain Extremes. They are apparently made in China, and the sole is soft and offers no cushion. I wore them to work, and have to walk across a parking lot several times a day to get to the firing line at our range. The lot is filled with rocks (not paved), and I felt every rock through the sole. My feet hurt from walking across the lot, and I even tried aftermarket insoles. I ended up going back to my Danner 452 for work. They provide much more comfort and arch support.
