Kelvin Down WS noise level

No. It’s a typically puffy jacket exterior. For a quiet insulation layer…the Stone Glacier Cirque jacket or Kuiu Kenai have a quieter exterior for an insulated jacket. Otherwise, Sitka’s Fanatic Line is fantastic.

Im primarily looking for a puffy as insulation for my early season elk hunts was hoping to double for whitetail. Right now I use a Kuiu down vest or RAD puffy under my Stratus or Jststream.

The Kuiu Super Down Ultra is much more quiet than the Sitka Kelvin. I don't know of it is quiet enough for bow hunting though. The Kenai line is very quite but not as warm. Fabrics that can retain down tend to be more noisy.

I will say the super down pro pants are not quiet enough as an outer later for bow hunting in anything except really noisy windy days. In calm days it would be a deal breaker, just as the Kelvin Down WS would be.

However, i have layered the super down pro pants under stratus bibs and that worked well to keep noise down, give the insulation, and be quiet enough for a dead calm 11 degree morning. I would imagine you could do the same with the stratus jacket and a puffy, tho the Kelvin Down WS is way too bulky to layer under a stratus.

this isnt an early season jacket....its there cold weather jacket & the windstopper shell for protection but adds noise...you'll easily overheat in this thing unless its pretty chilly out or your sedentary

I have the jacket you’re talking about. I love it because I live in ND. It get used daily in winter. I can wear an undershirt with a flannel and be perfectly warm down to -10F. If it’s above 20F there is no way I’m wearing this jacket.
It is definitely not for bow hunting unless you’re hunting in a squall.

Edit*
When I say -10F, that is before windchill. With windchill temps as low as -20F.
