Keltec P17 slide failure

Keltec P17 slide failure. I’ve had this pistol for about 4 years now. Always run suppressed with either a Sparrow or the TBAC takedown 22 lr that is on it now. Shooting today and thought I would empty the mag since it sat most of hunting season. With 4 round left I felt a slight issue with something hitting my face. Assumed it was carbon off the slide. Then next shot the entire slide blew OFF the rails. Standard 22lr high velocity ammo.

I’ll pull the suppressor apart tonight to insect for a strike. Sending it back to Keltec next week for certain

I’m sure Keltec will just issue you another. Curious if there was a baffle strike, that’s what I would be worried about.

I have a P17 that I have around 500 round suppressed through. I actually am quite impressed with it for $170

Checked the suppressor and no damage. Found others in line with a similar issue. Appears the round gps off before the cartridge is completely in battery.
