Kansas Taxidermist?

Can anyone point me to a quality taxidermist for a full strut mount Tom? I’m in eastern, Kansas. My taxidermist is too far behind and couldn’t take it.

I’d like to avoid the horror story I read regarding the gentleman’s elk. So, prior first hand experience would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Where are you located? I used a local guy by my property in Blue Rapids with good results and not backed up.

In my opinion, great and good taxidermists are separated by turkeys and cats. Cole with Timberland Taxidermy is the best turkey guy around. He’s in Cameron, Missouri which is about 30 minutes from Kansas.

Andy Campbell at Look Alive Taxidermy ONLY does turkey and last i recall he does about 600 a year. He would be my first call!

I think I saw that bird when I dropped mine off. I couldn’t stop looking at it because of the craftsmanship and detail. He does a remarkable job. I know the long wait will be well worth it in the end. Still need to figure out a base to put mine on.
