Awesome buck and thanks for taking the time to share more about the story. Concerning the time line sometimes things just happen. Similar thing happened to me this year on a 3 day hunt in northern PA. Wasn't a bruiser of a buck by any means, but being able to tag a decent buck during the trip was an accomplishment so I took what opportunity I was given.

I know what you mean, I hunted Canada year ago, temp never above 8 degrees, hunted Monday-Friday all day, shot my deer on Friday at 1:00 PM. I've had good and very frustrating experiences over the years, I'm thankful the few times it comes together early in the hunt.
