Has anyone run the duplex lite for an extensive period and switch to a K4 and been happier?
I’ve been using the OG duplex and a duplex lite since 2014. The OG is toast and the lite is getting there. I’ve made a custom lumbar pad that helped get more life out of the lite. My main issue is the frame loosening and slipping down with heavy pack outs (80+lbs). Constantly re tightening the belt and shoulder straps. I am tall and have flat ass so I need extra lumbar pad to help the belt carry load. Never tried the EXO frame and wonder if it’s worth a try for next year.

I am that person, I had a duplex lite for a couple years prior to my k4. The duplex lite is a great frame, but the k4 does everything it does, and most things better. There is nothing about the duplex lite I like better than the k4 but there are several things about the k4 I like better than the duplex lite

The k4 takes the best from exo and the best from the duplex lite. I planned on keeping the duplex lite as a backup, but I knew pretty quick I would never wear it again

I’m also this guy and am tall with no backside / I liked the duplex lite for many years but switched to K4 and couldn’t be happier - also just like the options of the K4 better - Nalgene holster, etc but bottom line the K4 doesn’t slip under heavy load and that is the highest priority for me

The k4 even stays up with a heavy load wearing rain gear, which always makes a pack want to slide down. It has certainly set itself apart for me

Much more intuitive load shelf, I like the bag options a lot more, and it’s more comfortable in hunting mode, and agree with the Nalgene holder and how it mounts

I have a gun bearer on the other side which makes the rifle ride really nice too, don’t notice it on the hip belt at all. Just a killer hunting pack

Plus kifaru customer service went to shit.

I swapped to an exo when it was going to cost more than i originally paid to repair my frame and get it back working.

The exo does everything my duplex lite did and then some, while being lighter. It’s a great frame.
