Hello,
I bought a K3 pack in 2022 as an upgrade from the Mystery Ranch Nice frame I had been using for ~15years. The K3 was light years ahead of the NICE, but I just didn't love the belt. To me I had to overtighten the belt to get it to keep from slipping, and the webbing strap around the belt would dig into my waist a bit. Overall it was ok, I just didn't love it, especially with a pack full of meat.
When Exo released their K4 I thought about picking one up, but since I am somewhat frugal (my wife might disagree given yearly optics purchases) I decided to try installing a K4 belt onto the K3 frame. So far I've only had it out for 2 training walks at 40lb and then 50lb, but it's feeling really good. The new belt really is fantastic.
Here's what I did:
Remove this from the new K4 belt and discard:

Remove the velcro/stay pockets from the old K3 belt and save it - you need to have it attached to the K4 belt

Sew the velcro/stay pockets from the K3 onto the new K4 belt. I had this done at a local leather shop where they have a HD sewing machine. I doubt you could do it on a regular machine.

Put it all back together:

I would assume this voids any warranty from Exo. If you do this and it doesn't work, you don't like it or whatever please don't go crying to them, or more importantly me
