Has anyone had any experience shooting deer with a lot of background noise? Like a rainstorm or wind noise
Do they still manage to jump the string?

I actually hesitate to shoot a deer in the rain because a blood trail gets washed away so quick.

My doe on opening day last year was in the middle of probably a 30mph gust. 24yd shot and she never budged. I still aimed lower third though, I've never had one duck enough to dodge an arrow aimed lower in the chest.

In rain I try to make sure they're under 25 and at a good angle. I've had blood wash away once before but that was after 5 hours of steady (not storming) rain. I thought I hit that deer in the liver but actually got the back of the lungs. She ran 80yds and even without blood was still recovered rather easily.
