Hi, hope everyone’s well. I’m thinking about whitetail hunting the little bits of public this year on the Joseph plains for whitetail. Pretty new to hunting this will be my third year going all been solo. Any advice on the area or just whitetail hunting lol thank you all.

Lots of private land up there with no access. Lots of whitetail deer especially on the flats. Just hard to hunt because of the private lands. But definitely doable. You have to get lucky that somebody pushes them off the private to you. And get off the road and hike. They are there and in shootable spots. Find pockets of public and be patient.

I gotcha that makes sense, I just don’t really know what to look for. I haven’t killed a deer the 3 years I’ve hunted lol. But I’m willing to hike as far as needed.
