I'm moving into another size in my wool jacket as I've lost a lot of weight. I've only ever used Johnson Mills 100% jac shirt, but have found an XL long black/red buffalo plaid "Outdoor Hunting" jacket, which interests me. I just don't know about tricot linings - whether this jacket is better suited to ambush hunting v. tracking and still hunting. Thoughts?

Thing of beauty, thanks for the photo. So, for tracking, no issues with being too heavy or breathability?

None for me , I walk about 1 mile in to my hunting spot
the jacket I use almost daily in the winter, pants only when hunting or super cold
OK, thanks. Seems like a fantastic option for cold weather, less active hunting. I ended up getting the Jac Shirt because we typically hunt on the move and cover miles daily.
