While not definitive they do show a photo with an upside down canister in it. I’d assume it’s a 100g because at the pot diameter a larger isn’t going to fit.

I should have a 100g canister sometime this week. 100g are all I'll carry with whatever system I go with because this is a day trip convenience system for me.

At their claimed 6ish g per boil it should be good to go for mby a week trip on 100g’s. I assume that’s what they got testing with a fast boil. Typically if you slow them down they’re more efficient. I’d like to see what people actually get with it.

@BBob Thats interesting that turning down the gas makes it more efficient but makes sense. the heat isn't pouring out so fast that its not making long enough contact with heat sync/dissipation fins.

I have a bunch of pocket stoves. My first was a primus that went with me on my first trip to AK in 2001. I've since aquired most every variety out. I love being able to stuff them in a cup and a small fuel can to seal the package.....but my MSR windburner way earns it's keep dispite the extra weight. It is faster and can be lit in a stupid amount of wind with a ferro rod....and a can of fuel lasts easily 2-4x longer.

If it's windy or I'm day tripping and need a warm meal or coffee....the windburner is what I will bring.

If you are looking for a new cook system check out Firemaple. I like their G2 pot with the Green Peak II stove. The canister and stove fit inside the pot for space saving. Stove and pot weigh 9.1 oz. I like the heat exchanger on the pot and they retail for about $65 for the pair. Otherwise I would go with the Jetboil.

Have a jetboil in big out bag but my go to is a pocket rocket and titanium 750 ml pot.
I like to take a light weight skillet a lot.
I’m going to pick up a Petrel pot to try out.
Hard to beat the pocket rocket,some lighter but I trust it.

I voted for the one on the right. If you already own both it’s not really a huge difference I think. Neither are what I would choose.

Those narrower cups/pots let a lot of heat escape off the sides so I think you lose some efficiently. I like a pot to be at least Nalgene width.

Personally I like my Soto amicus, and I can choose from a few cups or pots to bring depending on the type of trip. Anywhere from a 450-650 ml size pot is great for day trips or overnights. For a longer trip or for cooking larger meals, plus water to make coffee, I like about .9L

I think you can achieve a lighter weight, and more versatility with a separate stove and simple ti pot. The jet boil style systems are likely more efficient from a fuel use standpoint, but I don’t think that is all that much of an advantage until you are on a trip over 5 days.

I got around to finally weighing it last night. I added the neoprene cover to the pot for this weigh in. So the complete pot, neoprene sleeve, burner, canister stand, full 100g can of fuel, and the carry bag is 510 grams
