And it was at about 11k feet, cold and windy. Jet boil took about 2:45 to boil and MSR took about 5... Going by memory though.

Thanks and it does work. I have an original jetboil thats still going strong and dont hike above 7000 but it doesnt stop me from wanting something better

I've got the exact setup Dan has. I bought it in college as well and am still using it 4 years later. It works great and can't beat it you're on a tight budget!

I have the JetBoil Sol and absolutely love it. Only negative is the horribly thin neo cover. I got rid of the stock sol cover and put on a Zip cover which makes all the difference in the world trying to grab the hot cup.
