Hey all,
Getting married 12/2025 and was wondering if I could use the ivory from my bull this year in a wedding band somehow. Anyone else done anything like this and have pictures?

My wife makes jewlery and has done several rings, pendants and cuffs out of Elk ivory. Check her out on Facebook Jamie Lynn Custom Designs or Instagram

Don't do it, run run far away. The new and shiny will wear off in about 3 years. You will have to ask to go hunting. You will never be able to buy a new truck, because you will have a minivan for the next 12 years.
1/2 of what you have worked for will be given away, including your pension and or IRA. And if you do take the plunge, enjoy looking at that elk ivory. Because it will be the last one you will ever have.

LOl Jk I hope you found one that will not change the way you live (many do) and many pack on the pounds after wedding cake and diamonds.

Have been married for 32 years to the same gal. We have had out struggles, but no doubt I would do it all over again.

And an ivory ring would been cool for a wedding band.

Way cooler than diamonds in my book. Would have been divorce before the wedding in my wife’s book however! I would like to get a necklace or bracelet made out of some of her ivory’s

I saw someone doing it in southern Oregon. I’ll have to find their info again. Congrats on finding the girl!

A local jeweler who works out of his house making pieces out of raw stone like jade and turquoise made this set for me and my wife. I like it a lot, but I only wear a wedding band for formal occasions. It's fun having a memory right there with you all the time too.

Ive ordered matching sets of earrings for my wife and daughter from "Hammered in the mountains" out of Idaho. She does excellent work at a very affordable price. Im sure she can help you.

Congrats and best wishes to you and your bride.

My elk antler ring. This thing has been durable for the last 5 years it rarely leaves my finger. I take it off when I work on my vehicles or do any sterile procedure stuff at work. Outside of that it has not left my finger and still looks great. I know it's not an ivory but its elk related.1000053168.jpg

I've had earrings made for wives and girlfriends over the years and they love them. They hold the color really well. Problem with a ring is if it is worn regularly, the beautiful brown "rings" wear off and it becomes a white blob.

Pro tip - if you ever have ivories that have lost their color, it can (mostly) be restored by putting them into wet coffee grounds for a few days to a week.
