Anyone had any issues like this before? Basically it looks like the seam tape has lost adhesion all over and is also starting to crack. Here are some pictures that hopefully illustrate the issue. You can see all of the white or cloudy areas which is where the seam tape is no longer firmly adhered to the tent material. I will call GoLite tomorrow but figured I would get some input here first.

The one I sold showed a little of that after one long trip- I was thinking it was due to so much condensation...moisture getting under the tape- not sure

Any chance its from the heat of the stove? That's at least what I would be worried about them saying once they see the stove jack.

Well, most of the visible signs I noticed yesterday are actually down towards the bottom instead of up where heat would be more of a factor. That and while the stove was great, I really doubt that it got that warm really in the tent. It was nice wearing full gear, wet clothes or in a bag/quilt but there is no way it got hotter than it would having it setup here in the Midwest on a hot, muggy summer day. I will look again at the tape towards the peak of the tent when I get home just to see how that was affected but it definitely didn't catch my attention like these other areas did.

I hate seam tape. Every single tent I've used with seam tape......that's what happens. And it doesn't take long for it to happen.

I wouldn't worry about it, just seam seal it yourself and forget about the tape. I'm not a big fan of the tape so I just sealed my SL5 like I did my old Kifaru supertarp.

I noticed that from your pictures as well but figured it was worth asking. If its not peeling at the top then the stove had nothing to do with it.

I would just seal it as well - the only tent I ever had that the tape held up was a Marmot.

Interesting. I wonder why you have seen it and others have not. This tent has only seen limited use for 2 seasons and in that maybe 10-15 actual days use.

Hater :D

Yeah, I already seam sealed it when I sealed the stove jack last spring. It probably needs to be done again this coming spring as I have seen the silicone peel in some spots where it was a little thick.
