Hello Roksliders. I'm in search of my first frame pack. To date I've only owned a couple of day packs such as the KUIU Divide 2000, and while it has worked well enough for most uses, it's not very serviceable for hauling out meat. Last year I found myself having to get very creative for an uncomfortable pack out and my new son-in-law has pulled his first elk tag so I assume if he is successful, we'll have a little packing to do.
That all said, I'm limited in the number of years I have left for very physical hunts so I don't want to break the bank on something that might get used once a year. I'm looking for something reasonably priced that could serve for a long day hunt, or possibly an unexpected overnight stay and have the ability to haul meat between the frame and pack.
I'm 5'10" tall with a 33-34" waist not including any outer wear. I assume that is a large in most packs. Please DM me if you have something similar to KUIU Pro 3600 or Eberlestock Vapor 2500, MR Sawtooth 45, etc. Thank you in advance.
