Is this normal for brass to have a flat side?

It’s hard to see in the picture but I noticed on a bunch of my once fired brass that there seems to be a flat spot on one side of the neck.

Details. Tikka t3x lite .223 with about 50 rounds through it. Ammo is ADI 55 gr blitzking that I am planning on reloading with 77 gr tmks

The flat spot seems to be on all 50 pieces. All I have done for prep so far is removed the primer and ran through a tumbler to clean.

I’m assuming that when I resize this will go away.

Anything abnormal here?

I had this issue as well. Ejector spring is too strong and pushes them hard against the inside of the receiver on the way out to the point of denting all the case mouths. I trimmed the spring a bit and the problem went away. Brass just dribbles out of the receiver now but it hasn't caused any functional issues.

Super common for brass coming out of semi-autos like AR15's. It's just the brass hitting the inside of the receiver after it clears the chamber but before it clears the ejection port and will come out when you run it through the resizing die unless it's really bad.

Thanks for all the replies. Just something I haven’t noticed before and figured wasn’t a big deal but thought I would check.
