It’s had a few come out of it but a 300” bull is a great bull in that unit with a regular tag. It is a OTC archery unit so it gets hunted pretty hard. The guys on the private ranches kill several 320-340 bulls each year. I know of maybe 5 bulls over 350” that have came out of the unit in the past 15 years or so, I’m sure more have but I just haven’t seen or heard of them.If the unit is known for 350s pass, if not lay him down
It’s an OTC archery unit, OR just started doing what they call premium tags a few years back. Each unit has one deer and one elk tag per year issued that is good for the whole unit from Aug 1 - Nov 30 any weapon. Kind of like a governors tag but only good in one unit.In over 30 years of PPs in Colorado, I’ve hunted 3 good, quality units.
I can tell you that the experience of hunting these type of areas far outweigh the size of bull you put your tag on.
...of course what matters most these days is that the animal has a cool name.

Sorry to offend you, I went ahead and edited my original post and gave him a new name.
Thanks for the bump
big bulls are all but done growing now. Once the hardening process starts its done. Bulls will be coming out of velvet as early as 2 weeks from nowNo sure how it wouldn't be a shooter? The only thing that is tricky to score are the beams due to the curve. Other wise tine length is tine length and mass is mass. plus he has another month to grow. If he is borderline now he isn't getting smaller by the time season comes around.
This.Haha! Doubly amused now with you and my namesake!
Seems like you've got him dialed in and know his current habits well enough. That's a fine bull, you know it and now so does everyone else. Stop worrying about how many "inches" other people guess he is or will be from your pictures or humble-bragging and just drop him before someone else does.
If he is truly a public land bull then very few folks here would pass him and that great character rack. I assure you if I see my namesake out there, I'll put him on my own wall (with a GotDraw nameplate and total scored inches of course, because that seems to be the increasingly important part of hunting these days).
Seriously, arrow that animal cause you'll be bummed if someone else does.

This.
Has multiple years worth of trail camera pictures of a great bull.
Has multiple years worth of shed antlers of said bulll.
Starts thread on interweb asking random hunters if they would shoot said bull and provide an estimated score.
As if there is an assumption said bull will just be standing in one spot throughout the season, staked to the ground, waiting to be shot.
SMH.
Really?
So IF an opportunity arises, would the OP’s decision be: “gee, 28 of the 32 posters online said they would <shoot/pass on> this bull, so that’s what I’d better do?”
Whaaaaaaat?
A bit strange.
Anyhow, I’m curious as to what makes this particular bull defiant.
