Is this bear crap?

I'm new to bear hunting. Spent a couple of days in the Blue mtn. area of OR. Didn't see any bears but
came across these piles of crap,

What's the diameter? Ideally you want it the same diameter, or bigger, as a soda coda.

If you're currently hunting bear, look for fresh grass as that is what's in the poop.

Now a question for you: did you find it in the woods?

The first pile was on an old road/path closed to traffic that wound in and out of some wooded sections. The second was on the road that I drove to get to the hunting area and my campsite. It was surrounded by woods.

To be 100% certain, taste it. It should be grassy with a pepper finish.
