I had over 800 pics of cows and calves the pst couple weeks

I would say anytime you’re seeing elk it’s a good sign.

It has been my observation that in the Summer through early September, I have spots where I see mostly just cows and small bulls, and places where I pick up mostly better bulls. This time of year the cows have their nursery herds and the bulls are in bachelor bunches. The bulls and cows will get together later and move.

I pulled cams last week and one cam had 5400 pics of cows and calf’s camping on my cam. Had to up my delay and lower my photo quality. That’s the first time I’ve ever had a full SD after 2.5 weeks.

All my other cams had a mix of bulls and cows which is what I like to see. All cows is OK but I find feed changes a lot between now and Sept and they end up elsewhere in my areas. I mostly hang cams just to get an idea of what kind of potential is in the area more than anything.
