Is this a good deal on this scope? Vortex Razor HD LHT 2-10x40mm

Is it worth it? Would you buy it?

I had a 3-15 LHT, but had sold it before getting this one, so no chance of a side by side comparison.

And besides the initial sighting in & checking zeros, I haven't shot it since, unfortunately.
Thanks, that makes sense.

Any chance you could provide an update when you use it again?

Im trying to decide between this and the 3-15. If the optical quality and light transmission are substantially similar, I think I would choose this based on the weight and reticle.

I mounted mine on a coyote calling gun, so I liked the 2X on the low end, & 10X is plenty for any distance needed. Problem is, I have been doing all my coyote hunting at night with a thermal, so it might be a while before I put it through the paces.

Problem with vortex scopes is every experience I’ve had or read with vortex is you will use their warranty. Which is one thing with Binos or a spotter. But do you want to find out you need to use their warranty on your rifle scope because you missed or worse yet crippled a deer?

The LHT line especially loses zero if you breathe on it wrong.

That really hasn't been my experience with the 3 LHT 3-15x42 scopes that I have. They have been decent. I completely get the sentiment about them, though! I also got mine back when Liberty Optics was selling them dirt cheap, and definitely wouldn't pay full price for one. And I do use SWFA and Maven on my serious hunting rifles, just because this place made me paranoid. I guess that I have a soft spot for Vortex, they were heavily involved in 3 gun when I used to shoot that, and were just a super nice group of guys.
