Is Sitka Subalpine quieter than the OC fabric? I think so.

I've been looking at the new Subalpine clothing for a while now and compared them to the Open Country garments. To me the new Subalpine fabric seems to be much softer and I find it quieter too.

It's especially apparent with the Jetstream Jacket and the Kelvin Lite hoody. I've tried these on at Cabela's and Sportsmen's Warehouse and the new Subalpine just seems much quieter.

I was wondering what everyone else thought? I sent an email to Sitka and they said the garment fabrics are the same and said there should be no difference in feel or noise.

The new Ascent pants are no where near as quiet as last years model. Defiantly lighter weigh but not even close on the noise level.

I just got back from Sportman's and checked out the Jetstream Jackets in both patterns. These two were just about identical in noise and feel. This is different from the last couple times I tried them on.

Oh well I think I answered my own question.
