Hi Rokslide
got this email. Looks like they're going to split it?
MDF Partners,
I am excited to announce that later today the Mule Deer Foundation will be announcing the launch of a new subsidiary organization known as the Blacktail Deer Foundation (BDF). The creation of this foundation is the culmination of work being done by many of our dedicated staff over the past two years as MDF explored how to better serve the Black-tailed deer species. The new organization and name will best reflect the dedication to this pacific costal based deer species and the work being done to preserve their habitat.
The official public announcement and press release will go out later today with more information being release in the coming weeks and months. The great news is that there is funding and projects in place starting as early as January 2025. As the organization develops, we will have opportunities to partner on specific Blacktail initiatives and projects. We will also use the Western Hunting and Conservation Expo in February as an avenue to announce and promote to the public, raise awareness, grow chapters, and bring on new volunteers.
Thank you for your support of the Mule Deer Foundation, I look forward to continuing to work with you as we expand our conservation work. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to discuss getting involved with the Blacktail Deer Foundation.
Thanks!
