Is Kifaru moving manufacturing overseas?

on sale for 32 at Origin USA, if you follow the typical 100% market up of most textile companies…$16

ORIGIN® CORE T-SHIRT

Proudly made from American-grown cotton, cut and sewn right here in the USA.
$32.00
BUY ANY 3 OR MORE CORE TEES AND SAVE 20%.
My guess is these are at or below cost. Sometimes you do that for advertising and just get a bunch of swag out.

Someone threw out the numbers but it was along the lines of "100% american made t-shirt with American materials would be like $60" just for a cheap ol t-shirt... thats a hard sell if you wanna sell many T-shirts.
The t-shirts lululemon makes sell for $60-90 and they do just fine. I think if a company committed to high quality clothes that happened to be made in the US, they could do alright.

Oh I agree there is a market for that. I mean T-shirts that you buy to mow the yard and change the oil in. There would be a huge market for shirts that are a little tight in the arms and loose in the belly too lmao

Any one want to bet on if Kifaru goes down same path as Mystery Ranch… military made in USA, hunting overseas? Bet in less then 5 years
I have more faith in the brand than that, I think what kifaru is now is what it will be for the foreseeable future. They want to have a profitable business, so following the MR business model would be a bad business plan.

There is too much competition in the pack market for them to do that and not take a big hit.

How many frames does Kifaru sell in a year? How does that compare to Exo and Stone Glacier?

Not to derail this thread but check out 3 fit theory. They are made in California so I guess it's pretty close to made in the US. Prices are pretty solid and I've been happy with the quality and fit over the years. Nice simple tee shirts.

So All American T shirt company is selling at a loss? There are 5 or 6 US made T-shirt companies, price depends on vertical operations scale. I doubt Origin is selling @ cost, I bet they have a decent margin as they are becoming a fully vertically integrated Textile company specifically with a huge U.S. cotton focus

So MR’s not profitable?

Kifaru is not a Family ran company ran under the same margin needs.

Only time will tell, but I wouldn’t be shocked if they do, not sure I’d blame them either

Why would you pay $500 for an 3rd world country made pack when you can get a $500 one made in the USA?

Who would buy a Mystery Ranch when you can buy an Exo or Stone Glacier for the same money?
