Is Anchorage headed towards another lockdown?

It seems the Anchorage mayor could have closed individual bars and restaurants instead of all indoor dining/drinking. Some restaurants worked very hard to follow guidelines and they should not be treated the same as bars that were packed on Friday and Saturday nights with young people. It has to be a huge financial hardship to reopen and then get shut down again. It also appears the mayor has ownership in several restaurants; many of which switched over to outside dining just before he announced the closures.

There are health inspectors making sure other safety precautions are followed, their duties should be expanded during a pandemic.

Not sure what you are posting but it appears there are 31 patrons inside a 15 foot by 18 foot dining area. That is not representative of the Anchorage restaurants that reopened after the first shut down.

No offense, but I am not sure you could have missed the point by any wider a margin.

Please explain your point then. You only provided screen shots and no source or explanation of social distancing or other mitigations.

The screen shots were supportive of my post that immediately preceding them.

Mississippi Resident here and I can tell you it is bad and we still have folks that don't believe it. My mother currently has it, she is in a nursing home that hasn't allowed visitors since March. The nursing home has had 32 cases. Another nursing home in the same town (Vicksburg) has had at least 8 deaths from it (one of those was my old Sunday School teacher and long time coworker). One of my hunting partners got it (he is a Respiratory Therapist) and it kept him down for three weeks and he is in good shape and 40 years old. I am doing my best to take every precaution I can right now. I have an AK hunt planned and I hope it doesn't get derailed by Covid.
