Iowa is experiencing worst EHD breakout in history

The last few weeks Ive been expecting to hear reports of it in our area, but so far nothing yet. Conditions have been ideal since late August in eastern Nebraska (hot, dry, ponds drying up).

I'm in West Central IA, and we haven't seen a measurable rain since early Sept. and it was already dry before that. Deads are showing up between Guthrie and Coon (zone 4) and north of Coon (zone 5).

Sad to hear that! Looks like we might have a chance of a freeze and some rain starting mid mid month, wish it got here sooner!

Yeah, you guys got a lot more rain south of 80 this summer than we did. Good luck this fall.
